An innovative, well-funded hospice startup is seeking a Director of Clinical Services (DCS) to oversee clinical operations and help scale a high-quality, patient-centered hospice program. This hands-on, working nurse leadership role is ideal for a seasoned hospice case manager ready to take the next step—or a hospice clinical leader who thrives in a growth-focused, mission-driven environment.

The DCS will partner closely with the Executive Director and play a critical role in team development, compliance oversight, and care delivery excellence. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape the clinical foundation of a hospice organization in growth mode.

  • Manage clinical staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage and productivity
  • Coach, mentor, and support nurses, aides, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Step in as acting/pseudo Executive Director during leadership PTO or absences when needed
  • Participate in strategic planning and help scale the clinical model as census grows
  • Monitor performance metrics and clinical outcomes; implement corrective actions as needed
  • Foster a culture of high-quality hospice care, accountability, and compassion
  • Travel locally within the assigned territory as required
